Reference to Show 'Succession'

[edit]

When Murdoch is listed as an inspiration for the character Logan Roy in Succession, Logan is listed as 'the protagonist' of the show, despite him being the major antagonist throughout all four seasons. Discipula Dianae (talk) 03:42, 19 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This comment was reverted as off-topic discussion. ("Not a forum" was the reason given.) I am restoring it because it is not off-topic, but rather discussion of the article, which currently says "Murdoch was part of the inspiration for Logan Roy, the protagonist of TV show Succession, who is portrayed by Brian Cox." The in-line citation does not actually say anything about a "protagonist" (link) . SilverLocust 💬 23:23, 30 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Rupert Murdoch's mother, Elisabeth Joy Greene, was an Orthodox Jew

[edit]

Edit ...

Rupert Murdoch's mother, Elisabeth Joy Greene, was an Orthodox Jew.

"Rupert's father, Sir Keith Murdoch, was a newspaper publisher, and his mother an Orthodox Jew, although Murdoch never offers that information in his biographies."

I think we'd need more than a single citation to a partisan organisation to justify such content. AndyTheGrump (talk) 23:07, 28 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
We certainly would. The article on his mother, Elisabeth Murdoch (philanthropist), doesn't mention Jewishness at all. HiLo48 (talk) 03:33, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Rupert Murdoch's Mother Was never a Jew, Nor was his farther Nor where his Grandparents on bothy sides .... They where & are All Australian Christian. They have given a fortune to the Christian churches in Australia. It's a complete Lie & fabrication to say The Murdochs are Jews. They Are Christians. The entire family. 14.201.49.58 (talk) 05:02, 8 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

More proof Rupert never renounced his Australian citizenship.

[edit]

Did Rupert Murdoch Renounce His Australian Citizen Ship ....... NO.

the rumors regarding Rupert Murdoch renouncing his Australian citizenship are baseless. Despite acquiring U.S. citizenship, he has retained his Australian citizenship throughout his career. It is crucial to rely on verified information rather than unsubstantiated rumors.

The Murdoch family trust: inside the looming battle for control
The plan to recombine Fox and News Corp has sent a crackle of intrigue through Murdochland about the future of the family’s interests.
Rupert Murdoch might be the most powerful man in news but for most of his career the 91-year-old fell short in one important respect: he did not have control of the family business.
For roughly four decades, Murdoch’s reign depended on the goodwill of his siblings, three Australian women far from the public glare.

Episode one, Blood, explores the origins of the Murdoch media empire and the lessons learned by Lachlan as he watched his father’s voracious global expansion. It also exposes the roots of the rivalry between Lachlan, his older sister Elisabeth and younger brother James.
